Covent Garden and tis surrounding areas (by that we mean Neal’s Yard and Seven Dials) appear to have been created for the sole purpose of conveying a warm and fuzzy feeling throughout the festive season. The “as if out of a fairy-tale” light installations are complemented perfectly by the abundance of festive deserts, hot cocoa and cosy wine bars… If you’re craving an all rounded Christmas experience, then this is the area to browse.
2. New Bond Street
As far as shopping destinations go, London arguably has it all. This pretty much entails a whole lot of competition for the best Christmas display of them all; if you want to see those that would definitely be shortlisted if the competition was not a figment of my imagination, then head to New Bond Street. The unadulterated creativity of the world’s leading brands comes to life in their shopping windows. Pro tip: Don’t forget to take a moment and marvel at Cartier’s signature glistening red bow.
3. Windsor Castle’s Christmas Tree
If you haven’t taken the time to visit Windsor Castle just yet, it’s a short commute outside of London that’s absolutely worth doing during the festive season. That’s not the case merely because of the palace’s beauty, but also because St George’s Hall is sublime with the 20-foot-high Nordmann Fir tree stealing the spotlight. The tree is traditionally picked out from Windsor Great Park, decorated with hundreds of glistening ornaments, and a Christmas destination with a royal twist!
4. Royal Albert Hall
The stunning red interior of Royal Albert Hall’s auditorium screams Christmas bliss on an average day, let alone during the festive season with a carol packed programme to fawn over. The selection of choirs coming to RAH’s spectacular auditorium will bring out your jolly self within moments, and are the perfect prelude to a spectacular 2020!
5. Rivoli Ballroom’s Pop Up Cinema
A Pop Up Cinema experience will be coming to Rivoli Ballroom for three nights every month, and we couldn’t be more excited. Rivoli Ballroom is one of the most iconic venues in London, and one that’s definitely in the festive colour scheme. Watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Elf” in red velour surroundings that will bring your merry self to the surface.
6. Coppa Club Igloos
The Thame-side igloos of the Coppa Club have garnered quite the loyal following, a crowd that’s dedicated to uncovering what’s new with the curious little installations! This season the theme is “woodland” and it’s taking rustic cues to create the comfiest environment, one that’s ideally located opposite Tower Bridge for excellent views of one of London’s most iconic landmarks!
